Photography Workshop
The photography workshop is an after-school activity that is recognized by the Upper School as an extracurricular pursuit. The purpose of this activity is to increase the photographic skills of those involved. Advanced camera techniques, use of multiple format cameras (35 mm, 6x4.5 mm and large format 4x5) and advanced darkroom techniques will be part of the activity. The students can pursue personal interests or seek tutorials for class work. Planning field trips for photo opportunities, visiting professional labs and studios, and visiting professional photographers will be organized and run by the students involved in the activities. Building portfolios and participating in exhibitions outside the school community will be part of the workshop's agenda. Student leaders will be chosen by members of the workshop. Students may rotate in and out of the workshop according to their athletic commitments. The maximum number of students is limited by the accommodations of the darkroom. Students will be signed up on a first come, firs-serve basis and on seniority (time involved in the workshop.)
