This course involves significantly more commitment and accomplishment than other studio courses. The AP course addresses three major concerns; quality, concentration, and breadth. Students taking this course should be responsible enough to work outside the classroom ad beyond scheduled periods if assignments so require. Maintaining a sketchbook and journal are requirements of the course. Students taking this two-year sequence are expected to submit a General Portfolio to the College Board for evaluation. There are two categories for submission of portfolios, a General Portfolio and a Drawing Portfolio. Students should see Department Chair to discuss the requirements of each before making a selection.
